Commissioners asked no substantive amendments during the meeting and approved the joint powers agreement by roll call. County staff said the arrangement is intended to save money and allow the county to proceed with design and replacement of the structures.
The vote authorizes staff to proceed with the State Water Commission application process under the terms of the joint agreement; project scheduling and detailed budgets were not provided during the hearing and will be determined in subsequent design and funding phases.
