Speaker 1, an unidentified committee member, called the session to order and announced, "and, unfortunately, we don't have a quorum for either planning or BZA tonight, so we can't officially have a meeting." The announcement meant the group could not take formal votes or adopt actions.
The committee discussed options for changing the regular meeting day after members said Tuesday at 6 p.m. often conflicted with schedules. Speaker 1 said they had received feedback favoring Wednesday and Thursday evenings and planned to follow up with one-on-one conversations and an email survey to identify preferred times. "Tuesday at 6 is not the best day and time for everybody," Speaker 1 said.
Participants stressed that any official change would need to be published in advance so the public is notified. Speaker 1 noted the committee would compile responses and publish the new schedule if they decide to move away from the first-Tuesday slot. Speaker 2 said they preferred keeping the 6:00 p.m. start when possible.
Because there was no quorum, the meeting ended without votes or formal direction. Speaker 1 adjourned the gathering at 6:05 p.m. and said staff would email attendees with proposed alternative dates and times before any change is scheduled.
