The City of Middletown Industrial Development Agency voted to appoint the accounting firm RBT as auditor for the year ending Dec. 31, 2025, approving an engagement fee of $4,850 and authorizing the chairman to sign the engagement letter.
The item was first considered by the Audit Committee, which read the proposed resolution and initially read the fee aloud as $4,825. The chair corrected the reading on the record, saying, “It should be $4,850,” and noted the resolution text being forwarded contained the correct amount. The Audit Committee then recommended the resolution to the full board.
At the full-board meeting a motion to appoint RBT was made and seconded. A roll call recorded affirmative votes from named members and the chair declared the motion carried. The resolution authorizes the chairman to sign the engagement letter for the engagement described.
The action implements Resolution 2025-10 as presented in the meeting packet and does not include additional terms beyond the fee and authorization read into the record. The board did not record any amendments to the engagement terms during the discussion. The meeting adjourned following the vote.
