The Clayton County Board of Education took several formal actions at its Nov. 3 meeting.
- The board approved the consent agenda, which included financial reports, the loss revenue report, purchasing reports, the splash construction report, capital purchasing items, RFQ 261 (construction material testing and inspection services), and the personnel change report. The consent agenda passed unanimously.
- The board approved the superintendent’s personnel recommendation to appoint Cassandra Todd as assistant principal at Perry Career Academy. The motion to accept the superintendent’s recommendation was made and seconded; the appointment was approved unanimously. Todd was invited to come forward for a photo with board members.
- The board added a timely business item to the agenda and voted to approve the issuance of tax anticipation notes (TANs) and adopt related resolutions; that item passed with six yes votes, one no and one abstention. (Separate coverage provides full details of the TAN discussion and vote.)
