Cannon County Board of Education approves routine resolutions, bids for buses and GPS trackers on school vehicles

The Cannon County Board of Education met on Nov. 13, 2025, and unanimously approved a slate of routine resolutions, policy updates and procurement actions while honoring students and staff from across the district.
The board opened the meeting by noting there were no public comments and recognized the district’s monthly citizens and employees of the month from Cannon County Elementary, Cannon North, Cannon South, Cannon County Middle School and Cannon County High School. District staff also highlighted the Red Ribbon Month door-decorating contest for K–5 classrooms, which drew 31 entries and will include pizza parties for winning classes sponsored by the local Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition.
In procedural business the board approved the meeting agenda and the consent agenda, which included minutes from the Oct. 9 regular meeting and approval of overnight/out-of-state trip #4983 for Cannon County High School’s Sports and Entertainment Marketing Conference in Orlando, Florida.
