Bossier Parish School Board approves $1.77 million for new buses; routine minutes and agenda pass

The Bossier Parish School Board on Oct. 2 approved obligating $1,769,720.82 from the FY2027 general fund to purchase school buses, following a unanimous recommendation from the district’s transportation committee.

Glenn Board, chairman of the transportation committee, told the board the committee met earlier and “the committee recommends Bossier Parish School Board approve obligating fiscal 2627 funds for the purchase of buses in the amount of $1,769,720.82 as outlined in detail in proposal 1 as presented by Mr. McGee to the committee.” The board then voted; President Newman recorded aye votes and no nays were announced, and the motion passed.
