Key actions at the meeting included endorsement of an Approval‑Not‑Required plan that separates a roughly 7‑acre parcel at South Shore Plaza for the ZOM project; approval of the draft decision for 201 Commerce Drive; approval of grading permits for 60 Columbian Street and 55 King Hill Road (the latter following an agreed retaining‑wall and landscaping plan with the neighbor); and approval of meeting minutes from Sept. 9, 2025. Each action was taken by voice vote and recorded as 'Aye.'
The director also gave routine project updates including demolition of the former Burger King to make way for a Chipotle, progress at 125 Union Street with new light‑pole conduit being installed, and continued construction progress on the Allen Street wind project.
The board closed several hearings and moved others forward; the 10 Plain Street MBTA‑zoned redevelopment remains an active, continued hearing set for Dec. 9.
