Arlington ISD honors four high schools, presents community partner award to Arlington Charities

At its Nov. 20 meeting the Arlington ISD Board recognized four high schools that earned placement on the US News & World Report Best High Schools list and presented Arlington Charities with a community partner award.
Chief Communications Officer Taina Northington introduced each campus representative and invited principals and staff forward for a photo. Northington said the US News badge reflects college readiness, state assessment performance, curriculum and graduation rates. The campuses honored were Martin High School, Seguin High School, Arlington College & Career High School and Arlington Collegiate High School.
The board also presented Arlington Charities an award of appreciation. A representative described the nonprofit's services — drive‑up distributions, mobile food markets, senior home delivery and a partnership with AISD's Career and Technical Center — and thanked district staff for support with frozen food storage and volunteer coordination. "Arlington Charities is one of our most valued partners," the speaker said.
Trustees posed with honorees for photos and acknowledged the partnerships that support students beyond the school day.
