Chambersburg Area SD board names committee representatives, approves alternates and tax-board appointees

The Chambersburg Area School District board on Dec. 2 completed its reorganization business, approving nominees to multiple joint committees and naming alternates to serve one-year terms.
The board nominated and approved three members to the Franklin Learning Center joint committee and elected three alternates — Doctor Diller, Mister Piper and Mister McKee — by voice vote after nominations were opened and closed. "All those in favor, signify by saying aye," the chair said during the voice vote and the motion carried.
The board also nominated and approved Ed Norcross to a three-year term on the Franklin County Career and Technology Center board after closing nominations for that seat.
In separate motions the board appointed Tammy Stauffer as the district representative to the Franklin County Area Tax Board and the Franklin County Tax Collection Committee for a one-year term and named Dannette Nault as the district alternate to those committees. Each appointment was moved, seconded and approved by voice vote.
President Mr. Piper said the consent agenda items (5.01–5.06), which include early-graduation approvals and a curriculum map, will be forwarded to the board meeting on Dec. 16 for formal action. "That list is included in your packet," he said when describing the items to be advanced.
No formal roll-call tallies were recorded in the transcript; the approvals were carried by voice vote after members accepted nominations and the chair closed nominations.
Next steps: the three alternates and committee representatives will serve the terms stated (one-year alternates; three-year CareerTech appointment) and the listed consent items will return for vote on Dec. 16.
