Chase County commissioners approve warrants, payroll, minutes and multiple administrative resolutions

The commission approved the warrants for Sept. 30, 2025, and payroll for the period Aug. 25–Sept. 24, 2025, by voice vote after motions to approve were made and seconded. The minutes from the Sept. 15 meeting were also approved by voice vote.
The board approved Resolution 2025-06, described in the meeting as a transfer from KPERS to KP&F for police officers, and Resolution 2025-07, which authorizes optional group life insurance through KP&F for police officers at the officers’ expense. Unidentified Speaker 2 moved each resolution; both were seconded and adopted by voice vote.
Commissioners designated Connie M. Pretzer as a county agent and updated bank authorizations following the resignation of the county treasurer. Unidentified Speaker 2 moved to grant Bernice Albers online banking access at Citizen State Bank and authorize signers on several accounts including the operating checking account and listed CDs; the motion was seconded and approved by voice vote.
The commission also voted to purchase a replacement laptop for maintenance at a quoted cost of $1,045 to be paid from the general fund. Commissioners approved renewing the county’s National Association of Counties membership at $450 annually; speakers said the membership provides information and grant/advocacy benefits for county departments.
