Boyle County Fiscal Court approves transfers and $953,035.35 in bills

The Boyle County Fiscal Court in Danville approved a set of budget and cash transfers and authorized payment of the month’s bills during its Oct. 14 meeting.
Finance presenter Shannon told the court there were budget transfers totaling $9,810.84. She also requested and the court approved cash transfers including $1,250,000 from an interest-bearing account to the county general fund, $275,000 from the general fund to the county jail, $275,000 from the general fund to the EMS fund, and a quarterly transfer of $19,271.32 from the opioid account to EMS to cover a social worker’s salary. Shannon said the interest-bearing account balance was $6,000,565 and that the county also held more than $5 million across two certificates of deposit.
County staff presented a bills packet originally totaling $950,035.35 for 18 pages of invoices and added a $3,000 invoice for Bacon Farmer Workman (listed in the packet as Codell) for work on county emergency services, bringing the payment request to $953,035.35. A magistrate moved to pay the bills and the court approved the motion by voice vote.
Routine items acknowledged without roll-call votes included an airport report and the clerk’s quarterly report. The court also approved an incentive payment plan for a sheriff who completed a training course: $3,976.59 total paid in three installments of $1,325.53.
All financial motions were carried by voice vote; the minutes and the listed transfers and payments will be reflected in the fiscal record.
