Planning staff asked the commission to reschedule its October meeting from Oct. 22 to Oct. 27 to accommodate a public hearing on a new subdivision application that requires rezoning, consideration of a planned development overlay (PDO), and review of a preliminary plat and drainage plan.
Speaker 3 said staff had contacted commissioners to confirm quorum and recommended rescheduling so the required public hearing could proceed. Speaker 2 moved to reschedule the meeting; Speaker 1 seconded and the motion passed by voice vote. Staff noted the Oct. 27 meeting should include only that subdivision item.
Several commissioners briefly discussed meeting-day and lunchtime preferences, and staff said they would continue to explore scheduling lunchtime meetings but would not move regular meetings permanently without further discussion.
Next steps: Staff will publish the public hearing notice for the Oct. 27 meeting and circulate the subdivision materials to commissioners and interested parties per standard procedures.
