Aransas Pass staff recommended and the council approved awarding the request for proposals for Wheeler and Huff Stormwater Pump Station improvements to Associated Construction Partners LTD for $3,044,642.

Staff said the project is GLO-funded and requires performance and payment bonds and contract documents, and that negotiations left a funding gap of about $206,000 that staff proposed to cover with a planned tax note. Councilors expressed relief that the long‑planned pump station work is moving forward; staff said final contract execution will occur after bonds and procurement paperwork are complete.

The motion to award the contract passed on a voice vote.
