Augusta council approves minutes, appropriation ordinance and waives holiday carriage fees

Unidentified Speaker 2 moved to approve the minutes from the Nov. 17 council meeting; the motion was seconded and carried by voice vote. The council then approved Appropriation Ordinance 11a dated 11/19/2025 after an identical procedure: a motion, a second and a voice vote carrying the motion.
Later in the visitor section, the council considered a request from Ignite Augusta to waive ordinance fees for a proposed horse-and-carriage ride during the Christmas light event. The ordinance on the books sets an application fee of $100 per carriage and $15 per driver. Unidentified Speaker 2 moved to approve the request and the motion was seconded; the council approved the waiver by voice vote.
