Commission approves multiple small construction and maintenance contracts including greenway and golf course improvements

Municipal order 2025-300 authorized a contract with Stack Construction & Development LLC not to exceed $110,200 for improvements to the Crosswinds Golf Course maintenance shop, including windows, garage doors and a new gutter system; staff said the shop is roughly 35 years old and needs attention.
Municipal order 2025-301 authorized awarding a Small House Road Greenway contract to Apex Design Group Inc. for about $231,069.54 to construct roughly 700 linear feet of 8-foot, ADA-compliant multiuse path between Campbell Lane and Thimblefinger Way; staff noted plans and a map were included in the packet.
Municipal order 2025-302 authorized replacement of a non-repairable boiler at the Sloan Convention Center, accepting the low evaluated bid from Chardon Mechanical in an amount not to exceed approximately $79,225; facilities staff said the existing unit could not be repaired and the replacement is necessary to restore reliable heating at the center.
All three contract awards were moved, seconded and approved by roll call with no dissenting votes.
Next steps: Departments will execute contracts, schedule pre-construction or work start dates, and return to the commission with any material changes to scope or cost.
