"The installation will be completed by a PlayCraft Systems certified playground installer," staff said.
Councilors thanked staff for securing the grant and for the work on the project. One councilor said the parking-lot portion of the broader park plan was not funded by the grant and would need separate funding; staff confirmed the grant covers the playground and associated site work but not parking-lot development.
A councilor moved to authorize the city manager to enter into an agreement with PlayCraft Systems LLC for the purchase and installation of playground equipment and surfacing at Bud Cross Park for $123,638.99, using the approved OMNIA cooperative purchasing pricing; another councilor seconded the motion. The council then conducted a roll-call vote; each named councilor voted "Yes," and the motion carried.
Next steps include executing the agreement and scheduling installation with the certified installer; staff will proceed under the terms of the OMNIA cooperative contract referenced in the staff materials.
