City officials gave council members a status update on a proposed 2026 general obligation bond package, saying the administration has compiled public feedback and will present a tentative package for review.
“On December 2, we will have a formal presentation from the administration…for the 04/07/2026 vote,” the City Manager said, noting staff used October public input and engineering department analysis to prepare a tentative recommendation. He said the administration plans to lay the package over for two weeks so documents can be made available to the public in the city clerk’s office and online before the council considers direction on Dec. 16 and final legislation on Jan. 6.
The manager said legal and engineering staff are working with special counsel on ordinance language and the resolution calling the election. He encouraged council members to review the materials and said staff would invite user groups and sports organizations to attend the Dec. 16 meeting to hear deliberations.
No formal action was taken at the briefing; the administration framed Dec. 2 as an informational presentation, with later meetings scheduled for deliberation and potential approval.
Council members were given contact names for follow-up questions and told that all related documents would be made publicly available once the package is laid over.
