Denison staff report progress on residential architectural standards; follow-up expected mid-November

City staff updated the Denison Planning and Zoning Commission on Oct. 14 that they have reviewed a draft of proposed residential architectural standards and forwarded their feedback to the drafter for revision.
"So the second update, if there's no other questions for that, it's just to give you an update on the residential architectural standards," a staff member said, explaining that Mary and the staff member had reviewed a draft ordinance that Phyllis provided before she went on vacation and that staff expect another review meeting in mid-November.
Commission members confirmed the meeting schedule for the remainder of the year — another meeting in October plus meetings in November and December — leaving three meetings after Oct. 14. Staff said they will incorporate feedback and hold another review once Phyllis has returned and considered the comments.
No formal action or vote on the residential standards occurred at the Oct. 14 meeting.
