Boulder planning board approves annexation recommendation for Hogan Pankaus property; votes unanimously

The City of Boulder Planning Board voted unanimously on Nov. 18 to approve a Boulder Valley Comprehensive Plan (BVCP) land-use map change for about 19 acres of the Hogan Pankaus property and to recommend City Council approve annexation and initial zoning for the larger parcel.
Shannon Moller, a planner with the City of Boulder Planning Department, told the board the two concurrent actions under consideration were a BVCP designation change of the portion west of 55th Street from low-density residential to Park, Urban & Other (case LUR2025-00008) and a recommendation on annexation with initial zoning of Public for roughly 23.6 acres and Residential Low 2 (RL-2) for a 0.44-acre portion of right-of-way (case LUR2025-00003). "Staff found the application is consistent with the statutory annexation requirements and with BVCP policies," Moller said during the staff presentation.
