Jason Lear was re‑elected chair of the Eugene Planning Commission on Dec. 2, 2025, after Commissioner Edwards moved to retain him and Commissioner Ramey seconded the motion. The commission approved the nomination by voice vote.

Chair Lear then nominated Commissioner Behling to remain vice chair; Ramey seconded the nomination and the commission again approved it unanimously. Alyssa Hunter, planning staff, opened the elections item and explained the annual nomination and voting process for chair and vice chair.
