Dickinson swears in renewed Youth Commission

At the Nov. 4 meeting the Dickinson City Commission held a public‑hearing swearing in of the Youth Commission, which staff said began in 2021 and has renewed energy in 2025.
Staffer Mister Fong introduced the group and Mayor/President Decker administered the oath. Lorelei Emter, the Youth Commission president and a junior at Trinity High School, and other members introduced themselves and their schools: Heta Skari (junior, Trinity), Elena Anderson (freshman, Dickinson High School), Cooper Brennan (freshman, Dickinson High School), Jenalaya Yuyu (sophomore, publicist), Holden Capari (treasurer, freshman), Ellie Spradling (Trinity), Hensley Strain (junior, Trinity), Noah Eilts (junior, Trinity), Jordan Hamm (junior, Trinity) and Adele Fox (freshman, Dickinson High School). Commission members welcomed the youth and noted plans for activities in 2026.
The city said the Youth Commission has already organized community events such as an outdoor movie night and volunteers at downtown events.
