Conway board adopts 2026 schedule, announces Arbor Day on Dec. 6 and a mural reveal

The Conway Community Appearance Board approved its 2026 meeting schedule and closed the meeting with community announcements and adjournment.
During the schedule discussion Miss Dennis asked members to note April 8 as a potential conflict for those with children in Horry County Schools. The schedule was moved, seconded and adopted by voice vote.
Miss Dennis also invited board members to an Arbor Day celebration scheduled for Dec. 6 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. She said the mayor will issue a proclamation and the event — to be held on the terrace — will feature food trucks, a kids' corner, giveaways and promotions for wildflower planting. "We're going to have some food trucks... the mayor will come do the proclamation," Miss Dennis said. She added Downtown Live's Hillary Howard will host a Laurel Street trolley mural reveal on Nov. 19 at 2 p.m. The board noted it will not meet again until December and then moved to adjourn.
Speaker 3 moved to adjourn and the board voted to end the session.
