Under new business, the council approved the mayor's appointment of Fred Lynn Wienen to a five‑year term on the Columbus Housing Authority. Council also approved a $35,930 purchase for a water tower mixer from Utility Service Company Inc., and adopted Resolution R25‑132 adding a micro‑TIF application fee to economic development fees and R25‑133 amending Columbus Area Transit drug and alcohol testing procedures. A CDBG award of $13,470 to Yonzi Izaguerra for downtown revitalization at 2319 13th Street was adopted as Resolution R25‑134; council members noted it was matching funds and discussed the overall project amount during the exchange.
