Conway Planning Commission approves minutes, 2026 schedule and Rivertown letter-of-credit renewal

The Conway Planning Commission on Nov. 6 approved the Oct. 2 meeting minutes, adopted a proposed 2026 meeting schedule and recommended renewal and reduction of the developer letter of credit for Rivertown Road North Phase 1.
Planning staff told commissioners the subdivision still has roughly 16 vacant lots in Phase 1 and recommended extending the letter of credit and reducing it to "approximately a $163,761," a figure staff said represented the amount required for one additional year. "Staff does recommend the extension of the letter of credit and the reduced amount for an additional year," staff said during the discussion.
A commissioner moved to recommend approval of the reduction and renewal; the motion was seconded and the chair called the vote, with members answering "Aye." No opposing votes were recorded.
The commission also approved its 2026 meeting calendar, shifting several meeting dates to the second Thursday of the month to avoid holidays and to accommodate the city's tree-lighting event in December. The commission scheduled its next meeting for Dec. 11 at 5:30 p.m.
