Veteran of the Year/legacy recognition: Members discussed adding a complementary 'legacy' or honorary recognition to acknowledge long‑serving veterans who no longer can volunteer at previous levels. The committee recommended forming a subcommittee to coordinate criteria with county rubrics and suggested recognizing multiple legacy honorees or dependents in outreach and communications rather than a single award.
Logistics and events: Members confirmed veteran burials and noted county office closures for the holiday period (Dec. 20 onward), announced a veteran service provider expo (dates listed for the 20th and 21st) and encouraged partnerships between the VAC and VAB. Committee members proposed finalizing subcommittee rosters and officer elections in January.
Procedural actions: A motion to approve the informal minutes from Sept. 18 was moved and seconded and, with no objections, carried. At meeting end the committee moved, seconded and recorded ayes with no nays to adjourn.
