Hayden City — The Hayden City Council adopted a resolution Oct. 14 amending the city's official fee schedule to reflect adjustments to development impact fees (Table 7) and to correct a previously published fee in Table 3.
City staff explained that state code requires a public hearing for any new fee or increase exceeding 5 percent; the proposed adjustments were noticed and published and were at or near the 5 percent threshold, prompting the hearing. Lisa (city staff) also said a fee published at $45 in Table 3 was a staff error and should read $35.
No members of the public testified during the hearing; the council moved to adopt the resolution and approved it by roll-call vote. A staff member clarified that, under the applicable code, impact fees are effective 30 days after adoption unless council specifies a different effective date.
The resolution adopts the updated Table 7 and the corrected Table 3; staff said the adoption process follows the committee recommendation previously presented to council and published for the hearing.
