City Community Development staff told the Planning Commission on Sept. 10 that the comprehensive‑plan update consultant contract remains pending but is expected to go before the governing body for award on Oct. 7. Staff said the consultant will be asked to attend the next Planning Commission meeting after award to present the proposed schedule and public‑engagement approach; the update is intended to set policy through 2050.
Staff also said October’s commission meeting will include presentations on lot‑coverage and grading issues and requested commission input as those technical chapters are developed. No votes were taken on the consultant contract at this meeting.
