Hermosa Beach — The council approved the initial purchase of playground equipment for three parks as part of CIP 504 and directed staff to prepare installation bids.
Public Works staff described repairs and replacements for Valley Park’s 2–5 and 5–12 structures, a new integrated shade and rubber safety surfacing, like updates at Seaview Park (consolidating several small 2–5 units into one larger structure), and replacement of worn rubber surfacing at South Park. Staff said equipment would be procured through a cooperative Sourcewell agreement with Landscape Structures, Inc., at roughly $180,000, and that about $450,000 in CIP funds are available to complete procurement and installation.
Council approved the purchase and directed staff to proceed with bidding installation, with work timed around deliveries and contractor availability.
