Finance director reports rising hospitality and accommodation tax collections; stadium and parking revenues improving

Finance Director Linda Williamson presented the quarterly economic and revenue update for Riverside Village and Hammonds Ferry. She said the voluntary report is posted to EMMA and the city’s financial‑transparency site and walked through key revenue indicators.
Williamson reported hospitality tax collections through Sept. 30 of $2,192,447 — up about 11% from the same period last year and averaging roughly $260,000 per month — and said the city appears on track to exceed last year’s total by roughly $240,000. She said accommodation taxes are up about $105,000 (about a 30% increase year‑over‑year) and cited substantial hotel revenue gains over the past year. Parking revenue also trended positively; Williamson noted the Crown’s new ownership is honoring the city’s parking-arrangement terms. She said the city received roughly $62,000 from a state tourism infrastructure program this year and expects naming‑rights revenue from the Green Jackets in December.
Williamson also announced the upcoming tax sale is scheduled for Nov. 3 and that 41 properties were listed as of this update (down from 62 at an earlier point). She said previously mailed utility bills had been issued on schedule.
