Doctor Wilson moved to appoint Stacy Rogers; the motion was seconded and, after brief comment from other council members about candidate qualifications, passed by a voice/raised-hand vote recorded at 4-3.
Mayor Pro Tem and other members noted that Michael Hill offered engineering experience and longer service in the candidate pool, while supporters of Rogers cited neighborhood representation. The council did not adopt any amendments to the appointment and welcomed Rogers to the commission.
The appointment was handled as a routine personnel action; no additional conditions or follow-up tasks were recorded during the meeting.
