Council accepts election canvas, approves records resolution and adds town-halls agenda item
Summary
At its Nov. 24 meeting the council accepted the Nov. 4 election canvas, approved Resolution 2025-31 authorizing destruction of certain Lewiston Police Department records, approved the consent agenda and added a town-hall discussion to the Dec. 22 meeting schedule before adjourning.
In a collection of administrative actions during the Nov. 24 meeting Lewiston’s City Council took several routine but official votes.
Election canvas: The council accepted and entered into the city council minutes the tabulation of votes prepared by the Nez Perce County Clerk and the Nov. 4, 2025 canvas by the Nez Perce County Commissioners, as required under Idaho Code 50-4-12.
Police records: The council approved Resolution 2025-31 authorizing the destruction of certain Lewiston Police Department records after a brief staff presentation; Police Chief Jason Cusick was present for questions.
Consent agenda and other business: The consent agenda was approved by motion earlier in the meeting. Council also voted to add a discussion about holding town halls to the Dec. 22 regular meeting.
Adjournment: Councilor Forsman moved to adjourn, Councilor Schroeder seconded and the meeting was adjourned.
