Norton City Council approved the city’s annual appropriation ordinance for fiscal year 2026 (Ordinance 107-2025) during its Dec. 1 meeting. Council members said they had submitted questions in advance and thanked staff — including Chief McShane — for responses prior to final action.

The clerk read the ordinance, council discussed the budget briefly and a motion to adopt passed on roll call. Councilors present recorded affirmative votes; no 'no' votes were recorded in the roll call at the meeting.
