Amy Lindgren was sworn in Oct. 7 as municipal judge for the city of Lake Oswego in a brief ceremony before the City Council. Clackamas County Circuit Court Judge Colleen Gilmartin administered the oath and offered personal remarks, saying she had known Lindgren since law school and praising her “genuineness” and work ethic.
Lindgren repeated the oath and, after being sworn, told council members she was “humbled by the opportunity” and thanked staff, friends and family for their support. She noted she does not live in Lake Oswego but said she already felt part of the community and that court staff and residents had been welcoming during her early days on the bench.
The council invited attendees to a small reception following the ceremony. There was no formal council action associated with the swearing-in beyond the ceremonial oath.
