DuPage County committee agrees to back renaming effort for Chicago Sanitary and Ship Canal

"I would like to get some support for a letter of support for the redefining Chicago Sanitary And Ship Canal effort," Evans said, noting the historical reversal of the Chicago River and that Will and Cook counties had already offered letters of support. Evans said only a small portion of DuPage County flows into the ship canal but that the county has been engaged in researching the matter.
The committee had no objections and agreed to forward the draft letter to the committee chair for signature.
