The Kuna City Council voted to approve case numbers 2408AN and 2405S, authorizing annexation of about 79 acres and a preliminary plat for the Madrone Village development, which will include 354 buildable single-family lots, seven commercial lots and dedicated lots for a school, a city park and a future fire station. The council approved the application following staff recommendations and conditions listed in the packet.
Senior planner Troy Beheunin told the council staff had reviewed the proposal for consistency with Kuna city code, Idaho state statutes and the Kuna Comprehensive Plan and recommended conditional approval. Applicant representatives said they reduced density from an earlier 432-unit plan and now propose 354 residential lots, 11.7 acres of open space (exceeding the 8.29-acre code minimum) and several public-benefit dedications, including a donated site for a SAGE International charter school and a two-acre parcel reserved for Fire Station No. 2.
