Myers said the CMMS feeds a GIS asset inventory and now records condition assessments and life‑cycle expectations. Staff have completed more than 5,300 work orders since implementation and report a preventative‑maintenance benchmark near 82 percent. The department plans to use the system’s capital‑predictor feature to plan reinvestment and smooth capital spending over time rather than request large, infrequent projects.
Myers described next steps that include further optimization, workshops with the parks and recreation commission and establishing target levels of service that will inform budget and master‑planning work. Council praised staff for the digitization effort and noted the system should reduce reactive work in favor of predictable maintenance.
