Lincoln Elementary students brief Pryor Creek council on '7 Habits' leadership program

A group of student house leaders from Lincoln Elementary spoke to the Pryor Creek City Council on Nov. 18 to practice a presentation they will give at a symposium in Dallas. Students including Tegan Klumco, Grayson Thompson and Audrey Pendleton described their roles in house leadership, explained house activities such as Wednesday meetings, spirit days and community service drives for an animal shelter and a food bank, and said the program has helped classmates speak up and take leadership roles.
"Being a leader isn't just our role, it's our identity," Tegan Klumco told council members during the brief presentation. Council members thanked the students, wished them luck and invited them to stay for the rest of the meeting.
The presentation was purely informational; no council action followed beyond the council's expressions of support.
