Council adopts Stegman and Elfers annexation ordinances

The Post Falls City Council approved two annexation ordinances at its Nov. 3 meeting.
Council moved to place the Stegman annexation (file ANNX-24-9) on first and only reading by title while suspending the rules. The ordinance describes annexing approximately 6.96 acres located west of North Spokane Street, between West Grange Avenue and Prairie Avenue, with direction to the clerk to assign the final ordinance number and publish by summary.
Council then moved and approved the Elfers annexation (file ANNX-24-10) in the same manner, directed the clerk to publish by summary and recorded roll-call votes in favor. Staff advised the ordinances amend the official zoning map and include effective dates as provided in the ordinance text.
Both items were approved on first reading under suspension of the rules and will be published by summary as directed to the city clerk.
