Romulus — The Romulus City Council approved payment of warrant 25‑22 Tuesday, authorizing $1,093,932.93 in city expenditures across a range of funds.
During the warrant presentation a council member read fund-by-fund amounts: General Fund $163,905.16; Major Street Fund $21,516.30; Local Street Fund $105,924.48; Public Safety Fund $25,561.28; Cable TV $50.60; Merriman Road special assessment $162.78; Street Lighting Fund $56,760.52; Garbage and Rubbish Collection Fund $113,669.50; Tax Increment Finance Authority $2,641.29; Downtown Development Authority $1,019.80; Michigan Indigent Defense Fund $5,174.00; 911 Service Fund $684.75; Drug Law Enforcement Fund $418.46; Law Enforcement Federal $157,369.50; Library Fund $4,250.98; Court Building Construction Fund $14,933.11; Water and Sewer Fund $346,865.86; Motor Vehicle $11,097.68; Technology Services $574.74; Retiree Insurance Benefits $19,787.15; Revolving Fund $804.00; Current Tax $7,888.18; Impressed Payroll Fund $31,964.36; Delinquent Personal Property Fund $908.02.
Treasurer Stacy Page noted that tax bills had been sent to the printer and would be mailed Dec. 1. A motion to approve the warrant was moved and seconded; the clerk recorded unanimous “Yes” votes from council members and the warrant was approved.
The council did not discuss cuts or changes to line items during the meeting; the vote authorized payment as presented.
