Department heads updated the council on pension-fund administration: the city’s investment adviser Fiduciant (as presented) plans to combine with other firms under National Financial Partners and rebrand to WealthSpire; the custodian Principal will move trade execution and cash movement requests to principal.com starting Jan. 1, 2026, and Principal indicated a $100 fee may apply to transactions not submitted via the online system. Council asked staff for a presentation on the city’s blight inventory and historical costs versus proceeds from sales.
The meeting adjourned after the votes; council members thanked staff for the inauguration ceremony held earlier in the day.
