During its regular meeting the City of Tonawanda common council considered and voted on a slate of resolutions and took one procedural action to delay a direct-sale item.
The council moved to waive the readings for resolutions 2, 3, 5, 6 and 7 and then adopted resolutions 1, 2, 3, 5, 6 and 7 by roll call. Recorded roll-call ayes were entered in the transcript for each adopting motion.
The council then voted to table Resolution 4, a direct-sale of property, after the clerk and council members determined the statutory notice had not been published for the required three consecutive weeks; the clerk indicated the notice had only been published once on 09/20. The motion to table Resolution 4 was seconded and adopted by roll call.
Separately, the council approved a motion to go into executive session for a personnel matter; members returned from the executive session and concluded the evening with an informational DEC presentation and public comment, then adjourned.
The transcript does not record further action on Resolution 4; staff were directed to republish the notice correctly and return the item to a future agenda once publication requirements are met.
