City staff presented two annexation items and a zoning request at the Nov. 20 workshop aimed at expanding the North Industrial Park and supporting Synergy Park.
A staff presenter described a proposed annexation of just over 800 acres in the North Temple area—south of Old Howard Road and Warrens Mill Road, and south of FM 1237—intended to bring those parcels into the city and enable subsequent zoning and development review. The agenda item was described as a first reading to be brought back to council on Dec. 4.
Staff also described a right‑of‑way annexation along Long White/Bob White Road tied to the park expansion and a pending zoning change for 4181 Howard Road from agricultural to light industrial to allow Synergy Park to expand. The presenter said the zoning case had been recommended for approval by PNC at a prior meeting and that staff was recommending approval going forward.
No formal vote on annexation or zoning occurred at the workshop; staff said follow‑up zoning cases and development reviews will be brought to council in forthcoming readings and hearings.
