Residents urge Sparks council not to close Fire Station 5, citing public-safety concerns

Another resident, Martin Sejinski of Silver King Drive in Wingfield Springs, asked why the city planned to close Station 5 and said residents already pay for many local services, arguing that cutting services should be matched with tax reductions.
Council members did not vote on Station 5 during the meeting. Staff did not present a specific agenda item on station closures in the public record for this meeting; council members briefly acknowledged the comments and encouraged residents to continue dialog with city staff about service planning.
