Shelter and operations: CBH reported it is closing a five‑bed South County shelter in Seaside effective Nov. 9 due to funding reductions, and that staff and residents were offered housing options. CBH will retain staff and shift some employees as it prepares to open the Baker Building, described as low‑income permanent supportive housing slated to open in December. CBH also said the onsite Genoa pharmacy at its Bond Street clinic will withdraw services later in the year, with operations continuing through January.
County funding and coordination: County management reported execution of contracts with Oregon Housing and Community Services (OHCS) and subrecipient agreements to maintain shelter beds created under state legislation; the funding covers services back to July 1 and runs through June 30, 2026. The county is applying to be the regional coordinator for the statewide shelter program.
Other administrative notes: Public health briefed the committee on the governor‑declared hunger emergency and WIC funding continuing for November payments. Lisa announced a data capacity assessment tied to the youth prevention work and the committee scheduled a focus meeting (Dec. 4 at 3 p.m.).
