Sarah Govic, director of human resources, presented a packet of eight personnel policies for formal adoption into the Lexapol system, noting small edits to policy 100 requested at the Oct. 6 meeting. The policies include the city’s emergency management plan, encumbered funds carryover, business gifts and gratuities, subpoenas and court appearances, speech and expression and social networking (a companion to earlier social-media discussion), Family and Medical Leave Act implementation and military leave.
Commissioner Zundell moved to approve the eight policies and Commissioner Olson seconded; the commission approved the packet by voice vote. Govic said the policies will be entered into the Lexapol platform and staff stood for any follow-up questions.
