West Fargo commission approves routine items, improvement districts and an ERP RFP

The West Fargo City Commission on Nov. 17 approved several routine and administrative items with little discussion.
Business approved included the Nov. 3 meeting minutes, distributed building permits, and consent agenda items A–E. The commission approved amended engineer’s and related actions for Improvement District 3008 (Meadow Ridge Reconstruction Phase 1) and Improvement District 3009 (1st Avenue East reconstruction), with public meetings scheduled for Dec. 3 and Dec. 8 respectively.
Finance Director Willie Galindo received authorization to publish a request for proposals for a new ERP/financial system; Galindo said an evaluation committee will include the mayor, Commissioner Anderson, staff from finance, public works and engineering, and Nick Lee (senior director of administrative services). City Administrator Dustin Scott presented five updated employee policies to be implemented in Lexipol (sick leave, personal leave, vacation, overtime/comp time and holidays); commissioners approved the updates after brief questions about vacation‑request timing and rehire service credit.
Scott also reported the city has begun a search for a new director of human resources, accepting applications through mid‑December.
