The commission approved formation of Improvement District No. 1356 to replace a 50-year-old meter pit serving the Brookwood Mobile Home Park; the engineer's report and district map were accepted and plans will move forward.
West Fargo — The City Commission voted to approve the engineer’s report and begin plans and specifications for Improvement District No. 1356, a project to replace a 50-year-old meter pit serving the east side of Brookwood Mobile Home Park.
City Engineer Jerry Wallace told commissioners the existing meter pit is “50 years old” and in poor condition and that staff had completed an engineer’s report, district map and proposed resolutions. Wallace recommended the commission direct staff to prepare plans and specifications for the replacement.
The commission displayed the Special Assessment District map and Wallace confirmed the benefit area for the new meter pit would not expand beyond the current service area. Commissioner Olsen moved to approve formation of Improvement District No. 1356; the motion was seconded and carried by voice vote.
Next steps are to prepare design documents and return to the commission for contract authorization and any required special-assessment actions, as applicable.
