At their Nov. 24 meeting the Coffey County Board of Commissioners approved a series of routine administrative and procurement items and authorized staff to proceed with a personnel hire.

The board approved 12 tax abatements totaling $5,880.68 and approved pay application No. 3 for Kilo Construction for the county economic-development project (discussed amount shown in the record as $128,002.74). Commissioners also authorized the chair to sign a payroll notice for Chris Lawson reflecting a reassignment and adjustment in wage classification and rate.

On the recommendation of county IT staff, commissioners approved an annual service agreement with Shared Technology Team LLC to manage services related to the Coffey County fiber network. The board approved the low bid from Reliable Paper for 120 cases of copy paper (8.5x11) at a total of $6,570 to be paid from the 2025 county general fund (courthouse general commodities line item).

Following an executive session on personnel, commissioners authorized the emergency management director to advertise and hire one communications technician to fill upcoming vacancies.
