The City of College Park council approved its consent agenda, which included three items read into the record and approved by voice vote.
Item 25G120 authorized the district manager to execute a retainer agreement with O'Malley, Miles, Nylund & Gilmore, P.A., for lobbying services in 2026 for a total cost of $30,000 ($2,500 per month). Item 25R12 is a resolution to change the charge of the restorative justice commission. Item 25G123 approved a business retention grant request from Chavan Family Enterprises on behalf of Hollywood Plaza tenants in the amount of $75,000.
Earlier in the meeting Councilmember Whitney moved an amendment to make the Veo presentation the last presentation; that procedural motion and the amended agenda were approved by voice vote before the council took the consent items.
The council also received and proclaimed Nov. 29, 2025 as Small Business Saturday in College Park; Mayor Fazil Kibir read the proclamation and urged residents to support local merchants.
