Members discussed whether to close certain Saturdays around Christmas and New Year's to give staff longer holiday weekends and noted the city typically does not operate on Saturdays. One board member observed the library has a book drop for returns and that usage on those Saturdays is likely to be minimal. A motion to approve the published closing dates was made, seconded and carried.
The Library Director will circulate the natural disaster and emergency closing policy for board review ahead of the next meeting.
